Pick the Band CMJ Music Marathon Contest
One band will win the following:
*A performance slot at the CMJ Music Marathon as part of College Day
Performance will take place in on Oct. 22nd at the CMJ Luncheon
and will be in front of over 300 college radio programmers , DJs and Industry insiders.

-Deadline to sign-up is August 25th. The contest begins September 1st.
-The prize includes a flight for band members and one-night hotel stay. The band is responsible for bringing their own equipment.
-To be eligible, the band must be from the U.S. and the members must be 18 or older. The band must be unsigned and available to perform on October 22nd.
All other rules apply as stated in the terms and conditions and band release.
The CMJ festival , now in its 29th year , will be headquartered once again in New York University's Greenwich Village Campus. CMJ'09 will feature over 1,200 artists,120,000 music fans & music business professionals and will take over more than 75's of the greatest nightclubs and theaters.
Reflecting CMJ at its purest , CMJ's annual College Day brings together leaders from the music biz and college radio realm for some thought-provoking panels, mentoring sessions and performances. College radio remains one of the most important launching pads for the brightest and boldest new music.
College Day Lunch presented by PickTheBand.com brings together leaders from the music biz and college radio for spirited dialogue during a live gig. Past performers have included Billy Bragg , The Posies , Matthew Sweet , Henry Rollins , Iggy Pop , Stereolab , J Mascis , Cibo Matto , and Fountains of Wayne.
